It's strange that Al Dexter is not in the CHOF in any way. In Billboard chart terms he is the most successful Country & Western artist, being the #1 artist of the 1940s. Dexter also had crossover success. He was the first Country artist to perform on Broadway. Hall of Fames that Al Dexter are in: the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1971. Here's to the first comment (I think)!
